RocketTax Express Tax Form
Jess here, welcome to RocketTax Express Tax! This form will gather everything I need to lodge your tax return.Before you start, make sure you have all your documents ready as per the checklist below. Also, double-check that all of your employer Payment Summaries and your private health insurance details (if applicable) are showing on your MyGov. >> Please don’t start your Express Tax form until ALL of your income is showing as final in your MyGov report, and you have all your documents ready to send to us.
Once you’re ready, here are your next steps:
- We strongly recommend using a computer, rather than a phone or tablet, to complete this form.
- The form will take 15-30 minutes to complete, depending on how complex your return is.
- It’s not possible to save your form as you go, so we recommend preparing all your expense totals before you begin. If you’re adding your figures up on the fly, be sure to write them down as well, or take screenshots or photos of your form entries as you go, just in case you need to stop and come back to your form later.
- IMPORTANT! > Take care not to refresh the page, as this will reset your form and entries.
- You’ll find explanations and tax tips for each question along the way
- If there’s anything you’re unsure about, or if you have any deductions you’re unsure you can claim, you’ll find a comments box at the end of each section of the form. Feel free to write me a note, and I’ll get back to you when I process your return.
- Once you’ve submitted your form you’ll get a confirmation email right away. This email will let you know if there are any documents you need to send to us, but for most standard tax return there’s nothing you’ll need to send.
- I’ll usually begin processing your return within two weeks. This occasionally stretches out a little longer in tax time, but I’ll touch base and let you know of any delays. Your tax return will be processed by me personally. If I have any queries or can suggest any potential extra tax deductions I’ll be in touch via email and we can chat further.
- Once your return is complete I’ll email it to you for review and signature, together with your invoice and final instructions to arrange for lodgment.
